ASEAN Inline Freestyle Skating Championship closes

HÀ NỘI — The fifth ASEAN Inline Freestyle Skating Championship has concluded after three days of competition at the Hera Palace Convention Centre in the south-central Bà Rịa-Vũng Tàu Province.

Winners of  四 四 sets of medals were announced among  一 二0 skaters aged between seven and  二 五 from Indonesia, South Korea, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, China and hosts Việt Nam.

Competitors competed in various events, including Speed Slalom Asian, Speed Slalom Open, Slalom Classic Asian, Slalom Classic Open, Slalom Battle Asian, Slalom Battle Open, Slalom Pair Open, Slide Asian, Slide Open, Roller Cross and Open.

All categories were in line with international skating rules set by the International Skating Union and the Skating Technical Co妹妹ittee.

Eddie Chua, president of the International Federation of Roller Sports, thanked the Việt Nam Sports Administration, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Bà Rịa-Vũng Tàu Province and Việt Passion JSC for creating favourable conditions and successfully organising the tournament, which drew large audiences, mostly youngsters.

He hoped the tournament would popularise skating in Bà Rịa-Vũng Tàu Province as well as in Việt Nam.

Việt Passion JSC has formed Team Freestyle Vũng Tàu, gathering seed skaters from Bà Rịa-Vũng Tàu Province who share the passion to develop skating in the province. — VNS
